Thermal Imaging

Blackbourne offer Thermal Imaging as a valuable tool
for a number of investigations.

In predictive maintenance it can detect faults not seen by the human eye, allowing corrective
action to be taken before costly system failures. - It can be used to identify and monitor faults
in mechanical systems items such as, bearings, motors pumps, compressors and conveyor idlers,
as these will heat up if there is improper lubrication or misalignment.

Used for electrical maintenance it will identify loose connections, load imbalances or corrosion in
substations and transformers. The thermal imaging can quickly identify these issues and
determine the severity of the problem.

In buildings, our thermal imaging service can detect fabric heat losses. Clients can experience
savings when using it as a non-invasive tool for detecting leaks in either heating or cold
mains pipework.
