Blackbourne has been appointed by Translink to deliver two contracts as part of their Electrical Framework with the company.
The contracts will see Blackbourne carry out CCTV upgrades within Great Victoria Street Train Station, as well as electrical infrastructure, CCTV and lighting and signage upgrades to the Hi-Park car park in Belfast city centre.
The existing signage and lighting in the car park is now more than twenty years old, and as such, this work is necessary to bring the system wholly up to date.
These projects will improve energy efficiency and lower maintenance costs, as well as ensuring compliance with current standards and future-proofing of systems to provide a fit for purpose system for the years ahead.
Mark Murphy, Pre-Construction Director at Blackbourne, said: ‘‘We are delighted to have been appointed by Translink to deliver these contracts, which will provide substantial benefits to the client and to the travelling public. Our project management expertise and dedicated supply chain, as well as having a long-standing relationship with Translink, means that we are ideally placed to support all stakeholders.’’
