Blackbourne operate an apprentice training scheme for young people seeking their first step in a new career. We have trained over 170 apprentices through ETT & various Technical Colleges.
Many of our apprentices are still with the company today in management positions due to our commitment to providing opportunities for employees through ongoing employee development and training.
Blackbourne’s Apprentice Thomas Murray recently won the regional award for Northern Ireland and Wales in the 2016 Edmundson Apprentice of the Year Awards and came runner up in the National Awards. This award recognises individuals who have demonstrated high standards of academic and technical knowledge and competence.
Blackbourne have links with many professional recruitment services which focus on offering young graduates the opportunity to gain practicable work experience. The length of placements is negotiable and can range from a few months to a much longer internship, with the aim of offering them a permanent position.
